Impressions of Istanbul - pt.I

I traveled to Istanbul today to attend a conference. The conference only starts tomorrow, so today was meant for traveling and a first acquintance with the city only. I did not get near the top sights yet (the Aya Sofia! the Topkapi Palace!) but I did get the chance of strolling around a little in the Taksim area, where the commercial and business life of the city seems to be concentrated. A few snapshots of my first day...

  1. Ow your pictures are nice! Really like the first one. Makes it almost look like a fun city. :p. (My vision of Istanbul has been kinda negative ever since Sofie and Ine's stories, so I'm curious to hear whether you like it or not)

  2. I like it so far. No creepy men. Just murderous traffic and a lot of honking. :-)
