I took this picture in 2004, while on holiday in Florence with my boyfriend. I like how it captures the atmosphere at dusk in an Italian city: the fading daylight giving way to shades of blue, people sitting around passing time before dinner, adding a splash of colour to the scenery with their outfits. The vespa passing by was a stroke of luck, adding movement to the picture.
I love Florence... It's my all time favorite city in the world!
ReplyDeleteThe blurred Vespa is a nice addition to one of Florence's most photographed spots and a welcome foreground interest.
Well done!
Thanks Laura! The vespa is indeed what makes this picture special to me. But the woman in the fuchsia outfit also makes me smile. Only in Italy!
